ROCKFORD - Rockford got runs in the first and second inning, then added two more in the eighth to take a 4-1 win over Southern Illinois Saturday.

Southern Illinois only run came in the eighth, when a Mike Victor ground out scored Drew Moffitt. Moffitt finished 3-for-4 for the Miners.
Southern Illinois will try to salvage today's series finale with Rockford before embarking on a three-game set to Windy City beginning Monday
